Hematology & Oncology Physician Opportunity

A rewarding locum opportunity is available for an experienced Hematology & Oncology Physician in Des Moines, IA. This position offers a predominantly outpatient practice with minimal inpatient responsibilities, supported by an established clinical team and the opportunity for ongoing assignments into 2027.

Location: Des Moines & West Des Moines, IA Position Type: Locum Tenens Setting: 95% Outpatient | 5% Inpatient Schedule: 4 days per week (MondayThursday or MondayFriday) Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Patient Contact Hours: 6 hours/day Call: Required during scheduled work week (Night Call MonFri + 24-hour weekend call before or after scheduled week) EMR: Epic

Providers should be available for one or more of the following:

• September 22 September 30
• October 21 October 29
• November 16 November 20

Medical Hematology & Oncology coverage 95% outpatient clinic, 5% inpatient Inpatient responsibilities at both Des Moines and West Des Moines locations Patient assessments and treatment planning Chemotherapy management Hematology consultations Ongoing cancer treatment and therapy adjustments Pain management coordination End-of-life care Ancillary service referrals

1 Physician on site RN/CMA support for each physician 2 Exam rooms per provider On-site Imaging, Laboratory & Pharmacy Daily Clinic Volume: 1030 patients Inpatient Census: Primary Facility: 1015 patients Secondary Facility: 58 patients

Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Hematology & Oncology Preferred Board Certified in Oncology with Hematology experience will also be considered Fellowship Trained in Hematology & Oncology Active Iowa License or Active IMLC Experienced physician required Must be willing to provide coverage at both Des Moines and West Des Moines locations Must specify available coverage dates at submission Clean malpractice and background history
