Job Title

Float Pool Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Location

Salem, MA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | Every Other Weekend | 36–48 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Float between up to 8 different Medical/Surgical Telemetry units throughout the hospital
• Perform cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and telemetry strip reading every 4 hours, including measuring intervals and interpreting strips
• Provide care for ED border patients, serve as medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented transfer-ready ICU patients
• Utilize TR Band experience as applicable within assigned units
• Document and chart using EPIC EMR
• Maintain patient ratios of up to 6:1 on nights across units ranging from 8 to 41 beds

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care hospital experience in a single location
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a travel nurse
• Willingness and ability to float to 8 different units as assigned

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of telemetry experience including cardiac drip management and strip interpretation
• TR Band experience
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system
