Travel RN - Cath Lab/EP

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring a CA RN license, BSN, and prior Cath Lab or IR experience at a teaching hospital.

Job Details

• Cath Lab unit setting performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures,
• Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts and variable start times,
• Performs diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, left and right heart catheterizations, and pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring,
• Administers and monitors procedural sedation and manages dysrhythmias,
• Epic EMR experience required,
• Float requirement to other UCSF facilities within a 75+ mile radius when qualified,

Job Requirements

• Active CA RN license required at time of submission,
• BSN required,
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required,
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab or IR experience required,
• Minimum 3-5 years of combined experience in PACU, ICU, CCU, and/or Cath Lab required,
• Minimum 5 years of clinic nursing experience required,
• Knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterization and EP procedures, equipment, and sterile technique required,
• Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history,
• Prior travel nursing experience within the last 12 months required,
• Proof of COVID vaccination and booster required, or proof of scheduled booster appointment prior to start date,
• Two professional references from most recent employer required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care for adult patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization and EP procedures,
• Prior teaching hospital experience preferred,
• Prior employment history with any University of California medical facility or acquired facility must be disclosed, including dates, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review,
• All RTO must be disclosed at time of submission and approved by the manager at time of offer,
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment,
• No additional RTO requests accepted mid-contract,
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
