The San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health invites qualified professionals to apply for the position of LicensedClinical Therapists II for the Community Crisis Response Team (CCRT). Licensed Clinical Therapists II assigned to CCRT provide field-based crisis response 365 days per year (including weekends and holidays) from 7:30am to 6:00pm and participate in the initial stages of disaster response on behalf of the Department of Behavioral Health. Field teams provide one-on-one crisis intervention wherever the individual is located. The Department's Crisis Contact Center (CCC) provides services Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 7:00pm. Licensed Clinical Therapists II assigned to the CCC will also work weekends and may work on holidays. Licensed Clinical Therapists II with both the CCRT and CCC teams work a 4/10 schedule. This Licensed Clinical Therapist II position provides clinical oversight and supervision to pre‑licensed field‑based teams as well as administrative support to the Clinic Supervisor. This position is a great initial step to becoming a leader within the Department and offers the opportunity to mentor and coach those beginning their careers in behavioral health. CCRT staff do not carry caseloads and are offered 4/10 schedules. The teams collaborate closely with law enforcement, schools, other Behavioral Health programs, and individuals and families of all ages and demographics and respond to disaster and critical incidents that occur in the county, providing brief crisis intervention support and therapeutic tools. CCRT is also accepting applications for Pre‑Licensed Clinical Therapists – Community Crisis Response Team and Licensed Clinical Therapists I – Community Crisis Response Team. The Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) is responsible for providing mental health and substance use disorder services to county residents who are experiencing major mental illness or substance abuse related issues. DBH provides mental health and substance use disorder prevention and treatment services to all age groups, with a primary emphasis on treating children/youth who may be seriously emotionally disturbed, adults who are experiencing a serious and persistent mental illness, and individuals who are experiencing substance use disorders. DBH also provides an array of outreach/engagement, prevention, and early intervention services. DBH's core values are service, integrity, accountability, and trust. DBH is a unique County Department comprised of eight direct service areas: Community Outpatient and Transitional Age Youth Services; Youth Collaborative and Justice Involved Services; Substance Use Disorder and Recovery Services; 24 Hour and Specialty Services; Adult Justice Involved and Diversion Services; Medical Services; Community Engagement and Equity Services; Office of Patients' Rights and five indirect service areas: Administrative and Fiscal Services; Public Relations and Outreach Services; Program Support Services; Disaster and Safety Unit; and the Office of Compliance. Pre‑Employment Process: Prior to appointment, applicants must pass a background investigation, which includes fingerprinting and medical exam, which may include drug and/or TB testing. Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or a permanent U.S. resident. Shifts: Some programs offer 24‑hour services; some assignments may require employees to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on‑call. Travel: Travel throughout the County may be required depending on assignment. Employees will be required to make provision for transportation (mileage reimbursement at current IRS rate is available). At the time of hire, a valid California driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance must be produced and maintained for the individual providing the transportation. Clinical Supervision Differential: Clinical therapists currently providing clinical supervision to Pre‑Licensed Clinical Therapists or Pre‑Licensed Psychologists are eligible for additional compensation. Differential: Clinical therapists regularly assigned to work in detention facilities receive additional compensation. Indicate your interest and availability for positions assigned to detention facilities on the supplemental questionnaire. Sponsorship: Please note San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future. License: Must be licensed in the State of California as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). A copy of license is required upon appointment. Licensure must be active, unrestricted, and in good standing. Experience: One (1) year, within the last five (5) years, of direct service post‑license experience as a licensed therapist in a behavioral health or social service setting. Applicants fluent in American Sign Language, Arabic, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish, Tagalog and/or Vietnamese are strongly encouraged to apply. Additional compensation is associated with positions requiring the use of bilingual skills. Testing of bilingual skills is required to receive additional compensation. The following experience is highly desirable: Possesses knowledge of clinical supervisor requirements Has completed a minimum of fifteen (15) contact hours in supervision training Two (2) or more years of experience providing clinical supervision to Registered Associate MFTs, Registered Associate PCCs, or Registered Associate CSWs or pre‑degree clinical interns within the last five (5) years One (1) or more years of experience providing clinical or administrative supervision over clinical interns and/or trainees Experience in a behavioral health or social service setting in a leadership role either managing a special assignment or providing occasional supervisory coverage Interagency collaboration experience Education and/or training experience Ideal candidates will possess the following: Calm under pressure Sound critical thinking skills Customer service orientation Great communication skills Friendly disposition Interest in an active work environment Desire to learn and develop new skills Application Procedure : There will be a competitive evaluation of qualifications based on the information provided in the Application and the Supplemental Questionnaire.
