Litigation Secretary

Our client, a well-established San Jose law firm, is seeking an experienced Litigation Secretary to support a busy team of attorneys. This is a full-time, on-site role ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, format, and finalize legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, TOA/TOC, and correspondence
• Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, depositions, and coordinate logistics
• Prepare and submit e-filings in Federal and State courts in compliance with court rules
• Maintain and organize client files and case documents
• Process expense reports and administrative requests
• Communicate with clients and support overall case workflow and deadlines

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of litigation secretary experience in a law firm
• Advanced MS Word skills (legal formatting required)
• Strong knowledge of Federal and State e-filing procedures
• Excellent organization, multitasking, and proofreading skills
• Experience managing calendars and supporting multiple attorneys
• Familiarity with NetDocs or similar systems (preferred)
• Professional, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
