Vice President Finance

Position Summary

The Vice President of Finance is a strategic and hands-on finance leader responsible for driving financial performance, operational efficiency, and value creation for Novipax, a private equity-backed manufacturing organization. Reporting to the CEO and partnering closely with the executive leadership team, Board of Directors, and banking partners, the VP of Finance leads all financial planning, reporting, treasury, budgeting, cost accounting, and business analysis activities while supporting growth, profitability, and exit readiness.

This role requires a strong manufacturing finance background, deep expertise in private equity environments, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, results-oriented organizations and has a proven track record of improving EBITDA, optimizing working capital, and building scalable financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership

• Serve as a key advisor to the CEO, executive leadership team, and private equity ownership group.
• Develop and execute financial strategies that support growth, profitability, and enterprise value creation.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and strategic modeling processes.
• Provide data-driven recommendations regarding capital investments, pricing, acquisitions, and operational initiatives.
• Support M&A activities, including due diligence, integration planning, and financial analysis.

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Develop KPI dashboards and reporting packages for management, lenders, and private equity sponsors.
• Drive monthly forecasting and variance analysis processes.
• Monitor financial performance against budget and strategic objectives.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, cash flow, and operational efficiency.
• Deliver actionable insights regarding revenue, margins, labor utilization, inventory management, and working capital.

Accounting Controls & Lendor Reporting

• Oversee financial reporting, treasury, tax, and compliance functions.
• Strengthen internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• In partnership with Corporate Controller, manage external audit, tax, and banking relationships.
• Lead the financial evaluation, funding strategy, and financing negotiations for capital expenditure projects.

Private Equity & Board Reporting

• Manage lender reporting and covenant compliance.
• Support debt refinancing, capital structure optimization, and banking relationships.
• Assist with value creation planning and exit preparation activities.
• Present financial results and business performance to executive leadership and investors.

Leadership & Team Development

• Establish a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and business partnership.
• Drive process improvements and financial systems optimization.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration across operations, supply chain, sales, HR, and engineering.

Qualifications:

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
• 5+ years in a senior finance role within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working in a private equity-backed company.
• Strong understanding of:
