Improvement Sciences Specialist

Koniag Information Security Services LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an Improvement Sciences Specialist with a Secret security clearance to support KSS and our government customer in San Antonio, TX. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity. Principal responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead and support process improvement projects utilizing recognized improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, PDSA/PDCA, and Change Management frameworks. Conduct comprehensive data collection, statistical analysis, and root cause analysis to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities. Facilitate improvement workshops, team meetings, and stakeholder engagement sessions to drive collaborative problem-solving and solution development. Develop and deliver training and educational materials related to improvement of science methodologies and tools. Prepare and present briefing materials, metric charts, progress reviews, technical reports, and project documentation to leadership and government stakeholders. Work collaboratively with diverse, cross-functional teams including clinical, operational, and administrative staff. Utilize statistical software and data analysis tools to evaluate baseline performance, track improvements, and demonstrate sustainability of gains. Support the development and implementation of performance measurement frameworks and dashboards. Maintain proficiency in MS Teams, MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Access), Power BI, and Adobe Acrobat. Ensure improvement activities align with applicable government, organizational, and contract requirements. Contribute to knowledge management activities by documenting lessons learned, best practices, and improvement outcomes. Required Skills and Competencies: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Statistics, or a related scientific field from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 6 years of experience applying improvement methodologies and leading improvement projects, ideally in a relevant industry. Demonstrated strong understanding of improvement methodologies including Lean Six Sigma, PDSA/PDCA, and Change Management. Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis using statistical software, problem-solving, and root cause analysis techniques. Exceptional communication skills in English – both written and oral – with the ability to convey complex analytical findings to diverse audiences. Strong facilitation and training skills with demonstrated experience delivering improvement focused workshops and educational sessions. Applied project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor multiple concurrent improvement initiatives. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams across clinical, operational, and administrative functions. Proficiency in MS Teams, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Project, MS Access, Power BI, and Adobe Acrobat. Ability to produce high-quality briefing slides, metric charts, progress reviews, technical reports, and organizational charts. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment. Clearance Requirement: Secret security clearance Desired Skills and Competencies: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Experience working in a federal government or military healthcare environment. Familiarity with Navy and Marine Corps operational environments.
