Accounts Payable Clerk Position Overview Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk for a temporary assignment to support a small, collaborative accounting team. This role will cover a leave of absence and may extend based on business needs. The position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial operations and ensuring timely processing of transactions. Key Responsibilities Perform daily cash postings (1–2 hours each morning) Process, code, and enter accounts payable invoices Route invoices for approvals and ensure proper documentation Manage weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments Complete credit card reconciliations Match purchase orders to invoices and resolve discrepancies Communicate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely processing Qualifications Required: 1–2 years of Accounts Payable experience Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP High level of organization and attention to detail Ability to work independently and proactively solve problems Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or some college coursework in Accounting or related field Work Environment Small, team-oriented accounting department Friendly, laid-back culture with a collaborative mindset Minimal office politics; strong focus on teamwork and support Why Consider This Opportunity Immediate start with hands-on responsibility Opportunity to manage core AP functions end-to-end Supportive leadership and team environment Potential for assignment extension depending on business needs #J-18808-Ljbffr
