Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients of all ages, utilizing both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Craft individualized treatment plans driven by both immediate and long-term goals surrounding communication and swallowing abilities.
• Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy interventions that encompass language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to create a seamless care experience.
• Provide educational sessions for patients and families to promote progress beyond the clinical setting.
• Support occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring that care remains consistent throughout the treatment journey.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation that adheres to established guidelines at all levels.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development to remain abreast of advancements in the field.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
