Logistics Billing Specialist / Coordinator

Location: Vista, CA
Pay: $24.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience

A manufacturing company in Vista is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Billing Specialist / Coordinator to support its import compliance operations. This role organizes Customs entry documentation and freight forwarder invoices, coordinates with internal teams and external service providers, and helps ensure import charges and supporting documents are accurate and complete.

Responsibilities

• Receive Customs entries from brokers by email or through applicable websites; print, log, and forward entries to the Compliance Analyst for audit.
• Review logged entry information for accuracy.
• After the audit, match each Customs entry with its corresponding freight forwarder invoice and confirm that all shipment charges are included.
• Compare invoice charges and shipment details against the entry and identify discrepancies.
• Assign the appropriate General Ledger (GL) number to freight forwarder invoices and verify that required information is complete.
• Send coded invoices and supporting documents to Accounts Payable for processing and payment.
• Organize, copy, and maintain import documentation.
• Provide administrative support to the Trade Compliance team and assist with other import-related tasks as needed.
• Communicate with internal departments, Customs Brokers, and freight forwarders to support accurate documentation and billing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Experience with importing goods and international logistics preferred.
• Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations highly desirable.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Microsoft Office proficiency required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Self-starter with a results-oriented approach.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
