The 12-month positions beginning in June of 2027 are involved in the creation, development, and delivery of the basic science medical curriculum, the creation and evaluation of assessments, operation of the gross anatomy lab, and provide mentorship and guidance for medical students. The biomedical science faculty report to the Associate Dean of Faculty and Medical Programs. XUCOM is the first osteopathic medical school at a Jesuit Catholic University. To fulfill its mission, XUCOM will integrate Jesuit Catholic traditions and values with Osteopathic Principles and Practice; our mission is infused in all that we do. Xavier is an EOE. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Designs and delivers curricular content within the College of Osteopathic Medicine Involved in the creation of assessments within the curriculum of the College of Osteopathic Medicine Advises and mentors students of XUCOM Contributes to the mission of the college through teaching and service Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Required: Terminal degree in discipline related to medical education (PhD, MD, DO) Preferred: 1-3 years teaching experience in medical education or graduate education Evidence of student mentoring Applicants with expertise in histology and histological techniques will be especially considered POSITION: 2 - Twelve-month, non-tenure track positions RANK/SALARY: Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience Benefits Comprehensive insurance plans including medical, dental, vision and prescription coverage.
