Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients recovering from orthopedic conditions to determine their specific needs and treatment goals.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques such as exercise regimens, manual therapy, and modalities to manage pain and enhance mobility.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress using electronic health records, ensuring accurate tracking of treatment outcomes.
• Reassessing patient conditions regularly to modify treatment plans as needed, adapting approaches based on patient responses and setting new therapeutic goals.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists and physicians, to provide holistic care and support for patients.
• Educating patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and healthy practices, empowering them to take an active role in the recovery process.
• Maintaining professional knowledge through participation in workshops, professional societies, and peer networking.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will primarily be on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries and injuries, including but not limited to joint replacements, fractures, and ligament repairs. You will be instrumental in guiding these patients through recovery by employing evidence-based practices that optimize their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with electronic documentation tools and word processing software.
• A flexible mindset and the ability to adapt to various patient needs.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
