Key Responsibilities

• Dominates the pastry station.
• Ensures all foods and preparation of your station are ready for each shift.
• Ensures all desserts/breads are prepared following the recipes designated by the supervisor.
• Is responsible for the complete setup, cleaning, and organization of the pastry station before each shift.
• Cleans the preparation areas, such as equipment, work surfaces, and serving areas, ensuring safe and sanitary food handling practices.
• Ensures the freshness of foods and ingredients by checking their quality, controlling the inventory of new and existing products, and rotating stock.
• Complies with all company safety policies and procedures; reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the supervisor.
• Completes safety training and certifications.
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others, supporting the team to achieve common goals.
• Ensures that their uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Maintains the confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Performs other reasonable job-related functions as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Hospitality oriented.
• Previous experience as a pastry chef or in a similar position in a hotel or restaurant environment. (Min. 1 year)
• Certifications in pastry, preferably.
• Technical knowledge in pastry.
• Ability to handle difficult situations effectively.
• Must be able to bend, squat, stand for long periods, stretch, reach objects above the head and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and crouching. Move on inclined, uneven, or slippery surfaces and lift up to 60 lbs.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have good communication skills in Spanish and English.
