Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver – Auburndale, FL Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule Mon: 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM Tue: 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM Wed: 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM Thur: 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by following site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and assigned security‑related duties at a government location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and documenting activity according to post orders. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, roadways, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe unusual conditions. Monitor entrances, exits, and controlled access points, verify credentials when required, and report policy violations, hazards, and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate contacts. Prepare clear, timely reports on daily activities, incidents, and patrol observations, and support emergency response activities when appropriate. Minimum Requirements A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. At least 5 years of security-related experience is required. An armed guard card and/or license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
