Job Description Pacific Staffing is recruiting an Accounts Payable Clerk for a respected Sacramento organization known for its strong values, operational excellence, and commitment to exceptional internal service. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys supporting financial operations with accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism. The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for timely and accurate invoice processing, vendor communication, and administrative support for the Finance Department. This role ensures strong internal controls, maintains organized financial records, and supports smooth departmental operations while upholding cooperative values.
- Full-time position (30 hours per week)
- Onsite in Sacramento : Schedule: Tuesday - Friday, 10:30 AM - 6:30 PM (flexible hours available after training)
- Pay range: $24.00 - $26.50 per hour
- Process invoices, verify totals, match packing slips, and ensure proper coding and approvals.
- Enter accounts payable transactions accurately and prepare required reports.
- Research vendor inquiries, reconcile statements, and maintain positive vendor relationships.
- Prepare and mail 1099 forms and maintain organized A/P files.
- Support the Senior Accountant with reconciliations, A/R processing, and departmental tasks.
- Provide administrative support, manage records, and assist with special projects.
- Uphold cooperative values and contribute to a positive internal customer experience.
- 1+ year of accounts payable, bookkeeping, or related administrative experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and accounting software.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with staff and vendors.
- Desired: Experience with Sage 300ERP; coursework or degree in accounting or finance.
