Senior Manager, Wildfire Risk

Job Description

A leading Energy & Utilities advisory firm is seeking a Senior Manager, Wildfire Risk to help utilities strengthen wildfire mitigation programs, enhance risk management capabilities, and navigate an increasingly complex operating environment.

This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to utility clients, providing strategic guidance across wildfire risk assessment, mitigation planning, operational readiness, regulatory compliance, and resilience initiatives. The role combines technical expertise, client leadership, and business development within a growing practice focused on critical infrastructure resilience.

• Advise electric utility clients on wildfire risk mitigation strategies and program development

• Support wildfire risk assessments, mitigation planning, and operational readiness initiatives

• Provide subject matter expertise on utility wildfire regulations, industry best practices, and emerging technologies
\n
• Lead client engagements and manage cross-functional project teams
\n
• Develop and maintain relationships with utility executives and key industry stakeholders
\n
• Contribute to business development efforts, proposal development, and practice growth initiatives

Preferred Background

\n
• 10+ years of experience in wildfire mitigation, utility operations, emergency management, vegetation management, resilience, or related field.
\n
• Experience working with electric utilities, consulting firms, government agencies, or wildfire-focused organizations.
\n
• Strong understanding of utility wildfire risk management programs and regulatory frameworks
\n
• Proven ability to lead client-facing engagements and influence senior stakeholders.
\n
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
