This position plays a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with complex medical conditions. Unit Information Number of Beds: 44 beds Number of Staff: 95 Patient Ratios: 4/1 at grid, 5/1 stretched Type of Equipment: IV pumps, Skylift, PCA pump, chest tubes, trachs, patient lifts Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner Shifts Typical shifts: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM Every other weekend required Responsibilities Perform neuro and spinal checks. Apply C-Collar and TLSO braces as needed. Manage chest tubes, PCA pumps, and IV infusions. Assist in lumbar drain placement and feeding tube placement. Administer blood transfusions. Qualifications Required Certifications: ACLS BLS NIHSS Skills: Qualifications in neuro and trauma care experience are essential. Preferred Skills: Additional neuro and trauma care experience is highly valued. Personality Fit Ideal candidates should be team players with a strong focus on patient care. Dress Code Uniform Attire: Navy blue scrubs are required. Floating Areas Potentially floating to stepdown units and med-surg units may be required.
