Contract to permanent opportunity! $25-27/hr

We’re seeking a high-level **AP Clerk** to join a busy accounting team and manage a very high volume of invoices and transactions, including accurate cost coding, expense coding, and job costing. Construction accounting experience is strongly preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment without getting overwhelmed, and is looking for an opportunity to take on additional accounting responsibilities over time. Experience with bookkeeping and a desire to grow into a broader accounting role and eventually serve as a backup to the Controller would be highly valued.

• Hands-on experience in accounts payable within a high-volume processing environment.
• Strong ability to code invoices accurately across expense, cost, and job categories.
• Familiarity with electronic payments, including ACH processing, and routine check run administration.
• Solid attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines and maintain accuracy under pressure.
• Comfortable working in a busy setting where priorities may shift throughout the day.
• Construction industry accounting experience is preferred but not required.
• Bookkeeping knowledge and interest in growing into a broader accounting role are highly valued.
