We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations in Cincinnati, Ohio. This Long-term Contract to hire opportunity is ideal for someone who can manage core accounting activities accurately and keep records organized in a fast-paced environment. The person in this role will handle essential bookkeeping functions, contribute to monthly close activities, and help maintain reliable financial data for the business.
Responsibilities:
• Process vendor invoices and payments while keeping accounts payable records accurate and up to date.
• Prepare and issue customer invoices, monitor incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances as part of accounts receivable management.
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements regularly to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate cash records.
• Maintain the general ledger by recording financial activity with consistency and attention to detail.
• Post journal entries to support routine accounting transactions and ensure proper documentation.
• Assist with month-end closing tasks by organizing account data, reviewing balances, and supporting timely completion of financial reporting.
• Use Acumatica and related bookkeeping tools to manage transactions and maintain financial records efficiently.
• Proven experience performing bookkeeping functions in a business environment that requires strong attention to detail.• Hands-on knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Ability to complete bank and credit card reconciliations accurately and on schedule.
• Experience maintaining general ledger records and preparing journal entries.
• Familiarity with month-end close support and basic accounting workflows.
• Working knowledge of Acumatica or the ability to learn accounting systems quickly.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.
