Strategic Sourcing Manager

My client, a growing food ingredient manufacturing company in the Fishers, IN area is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join their dynamic team. Strategic Sourcing Manager – Reporting to the Vice President of Strategic Sourcing, this position will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with vendors, drive value and cost savings and implement strategic sourcing plans. Be involved in the development and implementation of innovative processes to drive efficiencies Development and implementation of category strategies Stay current on market trends Create and execute negotiation strategies Prepare and maintain supplier scorecards Vendor selection and relations Drive risk management/hedging for assigned categories The ideal candidate: Bachelor’s Degree is required; Master’s preferred 5+ years of experience in a strategic sourcing role 5+ years managing packaging for a Consumer Packaged Goods Manufacturing Company. Packaging can include: cartons, corrugated, resins, foil, poly pouches, plastics, etc. Strong analytical skills Entrepreneurial spirit; self-motivated This important, highly visible position must be in office 5 days per week. My client is offering generous compensation including bonus and relocation and growth potential in a progressive environment.
