Work Environment

This PTA position is based in our orthopedic outpatient office located within a hospital setting. Here, you will find state-of-the-art facilities and advanced rehabilitation equipment, which are essential for conducting effective therapy sessions. We emphasize teamwork, and you will collaborate daily with fellow therapists and support staff to create the best possible outcomes for our patients. Our operating hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a consistent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in the execution of individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs.
• Prepare and maintain therapy areas and ensure equipment is ready for use, including the setup of therapeutic modalities.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, balance training, and mobility enhancement techniques, ensuring safety and proper form.
• Document patient progress in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as WebPT, tracking improvements and updating care plans as necessary.
• Support the scheduling of patient appointments and handle other administrative duties to ensure seamless clinic operations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries and injuries, as well as those managing chronic pain conditions. Your compassionate support will empower patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their quality of life. By building rapport and understanding their challenges, you will play a crucial role in their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited institution.
• An active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in California.
• At least two years of relevant experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically WebPT, to ensure accurate and efficient documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience with manual therapy techniques, including myofascial release and joint mobilization.
• Previous involvement in patient education, helping them understand their conditions and treatment pathways.
• Comfortability collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and administrative staff.

Compensation and Benefits
