Human Neuroimaging Faculty Position in Alzheimer Disease at Rutgers Under the direction of the Herbert and Jacqueline Krieger Klein Alzheimer’s Research Center at Rutgers Brain Health Institute (BHI), the Brain Health Institute seeks a neuroimaging lead for a tenure‑track position at the Associate or Full Professor level, with primary appointment in the Department of Neurology at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS) within Rutgers Biomedical & Health Sciences (RBHS). The role focuses on human neuroimaging to study aging, Alzheimer’s disease, and related dementias, leading a multi‑disciplinary research cohort of high‑risk individuals and providing scientific leadership and mentorship. Responsibilities Develop, lead, and secure independent extramurally funded research programs in Alzheimer’s disease. Create and maintain a well‑phenotyped, high‑dementia‑risk longitudinal cohort and ensure data harmonization across modalities. Design and implement robust neuroimaging protocols, including amyloid and tau imaging, and analyze imaging data for biomarkers of disease progression. Write and co‑author manuscripts and grant proposals based on cohort data, and disseminate findings to academic and public audiences. Mentor early‑career investigators, post‑doctoral fellows, junior physicians, and students, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. Engage community and public policy leaders to support the cohort and promote science communication. Provide scientific leadership within the Herbert and Jacqueline Krieger Klein Alzheimer’s Center. Qualifications Ph.D., MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent terminal degree. Active federal funding and a record of independent extramural research in Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias. Associate Professor level or higher, or a highly promising young investigator with NIH funding. Experience in human neuroimaging techniques and longitudinal studies. Strong track record in molecular neuroimaging (amyloid and tau) is a major advantage. Demonstrated leadership in multi‑disciplinary collaboration and mentorship. Excellent written and oral communication skills for both academic and non‑academic audiences. Experience or interest in working with underserved communities is a plus. Physician‑scientists are encouraged but not required. Salary Details A competitive salary in the range of $120,000 to $250,000, commensurate with experience and funded resources.
