The Behavioral Lifebulb Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team. Work Environment

This position operates in a remote work setting, allowing you the flexibility to manage your schedule while still being an integral part of a multidisciplinary care team. You'll collaborate with nurses, physicians, and mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care for our clients. Our organization emphasizes work-life balance, providing a consistent work schedule from 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday, with no evenings or weekends required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide thorough assessments to determine the mental health needs of patients in a timely and respectful manner.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions targeted to patient goals.
• Engage in direct psychotherapy through individual, couples, and family counseling sessions, focusing on enhancing emotional resilience and coping strategies.
• Conduct crisis interventions and offer immediate support during mental health emergencies to stabilize patients’ conditions.
• Coordinate care with various healthcare providers, ensuring seamless communication across disciplines to enhance patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health records, documenting patient interactions and progress in compliance with organizational policies.
• Educate patients and families about social service resources and refer them to other services as necessary, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and specialty care.
• Screen for substance use disorders and provide counseling or referrals based on screening outcomes.
• Maintain knowledge of state and federal regulations that impact mental health practices in order to ensure adherence to behavioral health policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of your work will be with hospice patients who are dealing with end-of-life issues, as well as their families, who require emotional support. This population often presents with complex psychological and emotional needs, including anxiety, depression, and grief. Your expertise will help them navigate these challenges, fostering improved communication and support systems within families during difficult times.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to develop effective patient-centered treatment plans.
• Exceptional crisis intervention skills and mature judgment to manage high-stress situations.
• Proficiency in presenting information effectively, both verbally and in writing, tailored to diverse audiences.
• Strong computer skills, including electronic health record management and telehealth platforms.
• Experience working collaboratively within diverse interdisciplinary teams is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in hospice or palliative care settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with the unique emotional and psychological needs of terminally ill patients and their families.
• Experience with evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Family Systems Therapy.
