2026-27 AY Lecturer Pool - Management

Overview The Management Department in the College of Business and Economics at Cal State LA is seeking part‑time faculty lecturers for a pool of positions to be filled as needed during the 2026‑2027 academic year. Positions will typically be for one semester, but may extend to an academic year, and appointments may be renewed based on department needs, funding, and performance. Many appointments are made on short notice. Responsibilities Duties of part‑time faculty lecturers include instruction, class preparation, grading, and office hours. Additional duties may be assigned based on departmental needs. Course assignments, including dates, time, and modality, are determined by the Department Chair under direction of the College Dean. Minimum Qualifications MBA or M.S. degree in a management‑related field from an accredited institution. Industry or relevant professional experience that is essential for teaching. Commitment to staying current in the field through ongoing professional practice. Evidence of high teaching effectiveness and experience with multicultural, multiethnic campuses. Strong written and oral use of the English language. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with diverse populations and fostering inclusive learning environments. Relevant work experience and training. Doctoral or terminal degree preferred. Salary Initial salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. The salary schedule for lecturer ranks 2024 (per salary schedule 7/1/2024) is as follows: Lecturer A/2, Full‑time equivalent: $5,507 – $6,677 per month Lecturer B/3, Full‑time equivalent: $6,221 – $13,224 per month Lecturer C/4, Full‑time equivalent: $6,825 – $14,523 per month Lecturer D/5, Full‑time equivalent: $8,593 – $15,211 per month Most new faculty lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank, with the anticipated monthly hiring range generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range. List of CSU courses previously taught, and/or courses or topics areas qualified for and requesting careful consideration to teach in the upcoming academic year. Official transcripts required upon hire offer and prior to employment. Employment is contingent upon proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
