Make a positive impact supporting students in a school-based setting as an ASL Paraprofessional. This contract opportunity, conveniently located near Cibolo, TX, requires on-site presence and begins as soon as possible, continuing through late May 2027. You’ll work with a single school, focusing on supporting students (details of caseload and age group to be confirmed), with each work week set at 37.5 hours.

Key Qualifications:

• Possess an Associate’s degree or higher, OR
• Have completed at least 48 college semester hours recognized by the Texas Education Agency (or regional equivalent) and finished a paraeducator course through Stedi.org with a passing score of 70% or higher
• Experience working with children with hearing loss in pediatric or school-based environments preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Familiarity with American Sign Language (ASL)
• Ability to pass required fingerprinting and background checks

Your Daily Role Will Include:

• Providing direct classroom and one-on-one support for students with hearing loss using ASL
• Collaborating closely with classroom teachers and special education staff
• Helping create an inclusive and empowering learning atmosphere
• Assisting with accommodations to help students access curriculum and participate fully in school activities
• Traveling between two school sites as needed (schools are just 13 minutes apart)
• Maintaining clear communication with staff and contributing to student progress monitoring
