Job Opportunity – Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 30, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, Night shift, Every other weekend required

Highlights:

• Dynamic float pool position rotating through multiple ICU specialties including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, MICU, and NCCU
• Float assignments based on staffing needs and patient acuity; nurses float to units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Work with advanced critical care populations including transplant patients (kidney, liver, lung, heart)
• EPIC charting system utilized throughout organization
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and more

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Valid Ohio RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system required
• Demonstrated competency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator management
• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience with arterial line management, central line care, vasoactive drips, cardiac drips, blood product administration, and advanced life support equipment
• Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required (one from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
• Former employees must have been away from facility for 6 months or more
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
