Position Overview
We’re partnering with a client seeking a Payroll & HR Specialist to support a team of 50+ employees. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented who enjoys owning payroll while also contributing across key HR functions like onboarding, benefits, and employee support.
Payroll:
- Process weekly payroll accurately and on time, including wages, bonuses, stipends, and time off using ADP.
- Maintain and update employee records (pay rates, tax withholdings, direct deposits, etc.)
- Manage payroll deductions, including taxes and benefits
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Partner with leadership to ensure alignment between payroll, timekeeping, and employee data
HR & Benefits:
- Serve as a go-to resource for employee questions related to payroll and benefits
- Administer benefits programs (medical, dental, 403(b), life, disability, COBRA, etc.)
- Reconcile benefit invoices and ensure accurate deductions
- Support onboarding and general HR administration
- Maintain accurate, confidential employee records
- Ensure compliance with HR-related regulations (FMLA, ACA, HIPAA, ADA, etc.)
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of payroll and HR experience
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance
- Experience with systems such as ADP (or similar platforms)
- Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables)
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- CPP certification is a plus
