About Raise The Barr
Raise The Barr is a two-generation (2Gen) organization co-founded in 2016 by former NFL linebacker Anthony Barr and his mother, Lori Barr. We work to increase economic mobility for single parent student families in Minnesota and California by tackling the practical and systemic barriers that make finishing college hard, including housing instability, financial strain, lack of social capital, and caregiving demands. Our programming brings together academic persistence, financial stability, and whole-family well-being so parents and children can thrive together.

The Opportunity
Raise The Barr is growing, and we're looking for a Program Manager who is ready to build. This role owns the day-to-day execution of our programming for single parent student families across California and Minnesota campuses and cohorts, and just as importantly, owns turning the way we do that work into something documented, consistent, and built to last.

You'll supervise and develop a coordinator team, safeguard the integrity of scholar data, and hold your team accountable to clear standards and deadlines. You'll also close real gaps in documentation, training, and operational infrastructure, moving Raise The Barr from individuals solving problems on their own to a shared, standardized approach that scales responsibly. You'll report to the Chief Impact Officer (CIO) and partner closely with the CEO and CIO on programmatic priorities, and you'll supervise the part-time Program Operations and Implementation Manager, who supports documentation and consistent implementation across campuses. You set priorities, hold decision-making authority, and provide supervision for that role; as Raise The Barr grows, some of its responsibilities may shift into this position.

What You'll Do
Program Leadership & Execution (40%)

• Oversee daily scholar programming across regions, ensuring effective, consistent, on-schedule delivery.
• Supervise the coordinator team with coaching, clear expectations, and accountability.
• Design, pilot, and refine program components in response to emerging scholar needs, alongside the CIO.
• Partner with the CEO and CIO to set programmatic priorities and integrate new initiatives.

Systems, Process & Standardization (10%)

• Build and maintain playbooks, SOPs, templates, and shared tools for core programming activities.
• Audit existing processes, spot inconsistencies or gaps, and lead the fixes within the CIO's continuous improvement framework.
• Set the team's operating rhythm, including how work is planned, tracked, and handed off, so programming holds steady through staff turnover and growth.

Data Integrity & Program Decisions (10%)

• Ensure coordinators keep scholar records accurate, complete, and timely.
• Build and enforce program-level workflows and quality checks that keep scholar data reliable enough to drive decisions and reporting.
• Review documentation for trends and patterns, and use those insights to improve programming.
• Administer evaluation tools within the CIO's monitoring and evaluation framework, ensuring results are used to measure and communicate program effectiveness.

Team Supervision & Development (25%)

• Lead regular coaching sessions and team meetings that drive alignment and problem-solving.
• Onboard new program staff and set them up to meet Raise The Barr's programming standards.
• Spot recurring training needs and build the materials or sessions to address them.
• Supervise and support through a trauma-informed, strength-based lens.
• Deliver regular performance feedback, addressing concerns promptly and documenting expectations as needed.

Community Engagement & Partnerships (15%)

• Build relationships with colleges, community agencies, and direct service providers that expand scholar access to resources.
• Serve as a point of contact for partners, keeping referrals and services well-coordinated.
• Spot resource gaps and work with leadership to close them through partnerships.
• Represent Raise The Barr at external meetings, conferences, and community forums, including speaking engagements.

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years managing and developing teams, including setting expectations, coaching, and holding staff accountable to results.
• Experience designing and implementing programs, ideally in a nonprofit, education, or human services setting.
• Working knowledge of data systems and how data quality shapes program integrity and decision-making, plus comfort setting and enforcing data and documentation standards.
• A solutions-oriented track record: you diagnose gaps and drive practical fixes to completion.
• Experience delivering or supervising trauma-informed, strength-based approaches (no clinical or teaching credential required).
• Strong organizational and written communication skills, with the ability to turn complex expectations into clear, usable tools.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent lived or professional experience.
• Comfort with spreadsheets, databases, virtual platforms, and Microsoft 365.
• A genuine commitment to Raise The Barr's mission and to equity, inclusion, and whole-family approaches.
• Start-up or entrepreneurial experience is a plus.
• Located in the Pacific Standard Time Zone preferred.

Schedule, Location & Travel
This is a full-time, primarily remote position working across multiple locations, with strong communication, responsiveness, and consistent on-camera engagement expected in virtual meetings. It is preferred that the selected candidate be located in the Pacific Standard Time Zone.

From time to time, the role includes travel for in-person events, partner meetings, team gatherings, and conferences, including speaking engagements, as well as occasional evening or weekend commitments tied to scholar programming. Attendance at these key moments is a core part of the role, and candidates should be able to travel by air and car and keep current travel documents.

Compensation and Benefits
$95,000–$115,000, commensurate with experience. This position is also eligible for the following benefits:
