Key Responsibilities\nAs an LICSW, your role will be vital in supporting our patients’ emotional and psychological needs through their hospice journeys. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Conducting thorough clinical assessments that inform personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique circumstances and preferences. \n
- Implementing a spectrum of therapeutic interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other solution-focused strategies, to help navigate complex emotional challenges during end-of-life care. \n
- Maintaining comprehensive and timely clinical records that align with HIPAA regulations while fostering a culture of accountability and meticulousness. \n
- Engaging collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to review cases, strategize treatment approaches, and ensure that patients receive well-coordinated, comprehensive care. \n
- Facilitating education and providing resources to patients and their families about coping mechanisms, mental health concerns, and available community support systems. \n
- Participating in professional development opportunities, including regular case consultations and peer reviews, to contribute to the ongoing improvement of service delivery. \n
- Staying informed about the latest research and evolving practices in mental health to enhance therapeutic efficacy and patient outcomes. \n
Your primary focus will be on patients in hospice care, including individuals and families facing end-of-life challenges. This demographic often requires not only emotional support but also strategies for coping with grief, loss, and existential concerns. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing their quality of life and providing comfort during challenging times.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program is a prerequisite. \n
- A valid license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Washington is essential to practice independently. \n
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting is required, ideally with a focus on psychotherapy and end-of-life care. \n
- Proficiency in a variety of therapeutic approaches, particularly those suited for patients facing serious illnesses, will be highly beneficial. \n
- Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to connect empathetically with diverse patient populations and their families. \n
- Strong problem-solving abilities to craft effective treatment plans and adjust strategies based on real-time family dynamics and patient responses. \n
- A commitment to ethical practice standards as outlined by the NASW and other relevant organizations. \n

- Experience working specifically with hospice patients or within palliative care settings will be a significant advantage. \n
- Familiarity with evidence-based, solution-focused therapeutic models. \n
- Background in family counseling and conflict resolution strategies is desirable. \n
