About This Role

A compassionate early childcare provider needed to attend to at a religious half day child program. Perform a variety of tasks such as, but not limited to, ensuring children's safety, arts and crafts, singing songs at circle time, reading, introducing shapes, numbers, alphabet, etc., overseeing learning through play inside and outdoors,.

What You'll Do

• Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts.
• Care for children in institutional setting
• Redirect children and recommend or initiate other measures to control behavior, such as caring for own clothing and picking up toys and books, sharing
• Oversee signs of emotional or developmental problems in children and bring them to director's attention.
• Observe and monitor children's play activities.
• Keep records on individual children, including daily observations and information about activities,
• Instruct children in health and personal habits, such as eating, washing hands, and toilet habits.
• Read to children and teach them simple painting, drawing, handicrafts, and songs.
• Organize,rotate and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas.
• Operate with kindness
• Dress children and change diapers.
• Help children with learning activities
• Perform daily observations
• Maintain a safe play environment.
• Communicate with director about daily activities, behaviors, and related issues.
• Assist in preparing snacks

• Organize and participate in recreational activities and outings, such as games, parties and field trips.

Requirements

• Arrange childcare or educational settings to ensure physical safety of children.
• Discuss child development and behavior with director
• Use educational or training skills
• Organize classroom duties
• Care for all children
• Must be at least 18
• Take Cpr/First Aid class
• Submit to background checks
• Provide encouragement to individuals or families.
• Assist children with special needs.
• Teach daily living skills or behaviors.
• Monitor health and behavior of children.
• Discuss child development and behavior with director
• Teach health or hygiene practices.
• Arrange items for use or display.
• Teach daily living skills or behaviors.
• Accompany children to groups or activities.

Mother's Day Out is a Monday-Friday half day child care provider program for ages 2 and a half through 5 that nurtures the whole child. We have a low turnover in childcare educators, and a philosophy that promotes the health, safety, physical, mental and spiritual development in children.
