Through these core values, we make our purpose a reality, “Investing in Communities to Transform Lives.” Position Overview The Accounts Payable Associate at Birge & Held is primarily responsible for weekly accounts payable review and invoice processing for properties in assigned portfolio. This position will report directly to the Manager of Accounts Payable. Key Responsibilities Perform detailed weekly accounts payable review for multiple properties in compliance with policies and procedures, including verification of sales tax allocations, general ledger accounts and vendor accuracy Manage incoming email inquiries from sites/vendors/B&H departments in Outlook Accurately record supplier invoices in Real Page Accounting Process employee rent discounts and mileage/expense reimbursements Assist with vendor setup utilizing Vendor Credentialing and maintain vendor relationships Manage Invoices Exceptions Queue and resolve discrepancies Provide additional assistance to Asset Accounting department or management team as needed Special projects as required What You Will Need Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree preferred. General Accounting/bookkeeping Ability to provide and receive critical feedback Ability to efficiently use email, phone, scan, mail, etc. Skills And Competencies Strong attention to detail is required Proven ability to work both independently and in a team environment Sensitivity to confidential matters and information General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Adobe Must be able to communicate effectively in the organization, both verbally and in writing Candidate should be structured and organized Ability to accurately perform data entry and multi-task What We Offer Maintain work-life balance with a generous paid time-off policy including up to 18 days of PTO per year.
