Financial Advisor for AI Model Training (CFA or CFP)

Use your real-world financial planning expertise to shape how next-generation AI systems advise mainstream households. You will evaluate advisory scenarios, document advisor-client interactions, and deliver clear, plain-language feedback that improves AI recommendations and client communication. No prior AI experience is required, your domain knowledge and client-facing skills are the priority. This work supports a leading AI data lab that converts practitioner knowledge into high-quality training data and evaluation signals.

• Evaluate and review realistic advisory scenarios covering budgeting, emergency funds, debt management, retirement planning, and investment decisions for mainstream households.
• Assess AI-generated recommendations for suitability, clarity, compliance, and actionable practicality for W-2 earners and middle-income families.
• Document how advisor-client conversations typically unfold, including prioritizing goals, discussing tradeoffs, and guiding clients through decision points.
• Record decision rules, rules of thumb, and benchmarks commonly used in practice, for example cash reserve targets, debt payoff sequencing, and retirement savings rates.
• Provide clear, plain-language written feedback to improve AI explanations, suggested next steps, and client-facing communications.
• Identify and flag compliance or risk concerns, emphasize a fiduciary, client-first approach, and indicate appropriate referral scenarios such as CPA, attorney, or insurance specialist.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of workflows and processes that reflect everyday best practices in personal financial advising.

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on, client-facing experience providing holistic financial planning to mainstream households in roles such as Financial Advisor, Wealth Advisor, or Personal Financial Consultant.
• Expertise in budgeting, cash flow analysis, debt management, retirement savings strategies, college planning, and basic risk management including insurance needs analysis.
• CFP® certification strongly preferred, or CFP exam passed with substantial relevant experience. CFA, ChFC, or similar planning credentials will be considered when paired with strong mainstream client work.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to break down complex topics for non-experts and produce clear written feedback.
• Demonstrated commitment to fiduciary standards, compliance, and high-integrity client service.
• Experience mentoring others, developing workflows, or standardizing planning processes.
• Comfort working asynchronously and independently in a remote environment.
• Required skills include financial planning, budgeting, retirement planning, debt management, risk management, CFP knowledge, compliance awareness, client relationship management, financial problem-solving, fiduciary mindset, holistic financial coaching, mentoring, and workflow or process development.
• Preferred: experience combining financial planning with ongoing coaching such as workplace financial consultant roles, work at national advisory firms, designing standardized planning processes or digital advisory journeys, and familiarity with personal finance apps, digital advice platforms, or AI-driven tools.

• Engagement: Contract, independent contractor relationship.

• Hourly rate: $80 to $110 per hour.
