Full Charge Bookkeeper / Dealer Accounting Specialist Honda of Bridgewater | Bridgewater, NJ Honda of Bridgewater is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper / Dealer Accounting Specialist to join our accounting office. This position is ideal for someone with dealership accounting experience who understands the full lifecycle of vehicle deals and enjoys keeping accounting schedules accurate and up to date. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring dealership transactions are processed accurately and timely while maintaining clean accounting records and supporting month-end financial reporting. Primary Responsibilities Post new and used vehicle deals accurately and efficiently Process deal cancellations, unwind transactions, and contract reversals Post vehicle fundings and ensure deals are finalized promptly Process customer and lender payoff checks Process warranty, GAP, service contract, and ancillary product cancellations Issue customer refund checks and monitor outstanding refund balances Maintain and reconcile accounting schedules, ensuring aged items are researched and resolved Clean and reconcile receivable and payable schedules on an ongoing basis Reconcile bank accounts, flooring accounts, and manufacturer receivables Prepare and post journal entries as needed Monitor CIT (Contracts in Transit) and funding status Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial statement preparation Review deal jackets for completeness and accounting accuracy Work closely with the Sales, Finance, and Management teams to resolve accounting discrepancies Maintain accurate records while ensuring compliance with dealership policies and manufacturer requirements Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned Qualifications Prior automotive dealership accounting experience is a plus Experience posting deals and working in a dealership accounting office Familiarity with CDK or similar dealership management systems Strong understanding of dealership accounting processes, including cancellations, fundings, payoffs, schedules, and reconciliations Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Paid vacation and holidaysEmployee vehicle purchase program Stable, growing dealership with opportunities for advancement Professional, team-oriented work environment #J-18808-Ljbffr Honda of Bridgewater
