Mobile, Alabama | Full-Time | $19.00-$22.00 per hour, depending on experience

Are you an experienced Accounts Receivable and Collections professional who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating with customers regarding outstanding balances?


Our confidential client is seeking a dependable Accounts Receivable/Collections Specialist to join their accounting team. This position will be responsible for managing customer accounts, posting payments, monitoring aging, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate financial records.


What You'll Do
• Manage customer accounts, invoices, statements, and accounts receivable records
• Monitor aging reports and conduct professional collection follow-up on past-due accounts
• Post and accurately apply payments including checks, ACH, credit cards, and other payment methods
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, unapplied payments, and customer account issues
• Communicate with customers regarding balances, billing questions, and payment arrangements
• Assist with reconciliations, credit memos, adjustments, refunds, and month-end activities
• Work with Sales and other departments to resolve invoicing and customer account issues


What We're Looking For
• 4+ years of Accounts Receivable, Collections, or related accounting experience
• Knowledge of accounting principles and credit/collections practices
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with accounting software; Microsoft Dynamics NAV or similar ERP experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail, organization, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, customer-focused approach


Schedule & Compensation
Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM-4:30 PM
$19.00-$22.00 per hour, depending on experience
Professional office environment


Additional Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screen
