Underground Wet Utility Foreman/Operator

Job Description
The Underground Wet Utility Foreman/Operator leads a small team dedicated to civil construction, municipal utility maintenance, and industrial utility projects. This role involves hands-on equipment operation as well as overseeing utility installation and site activities. The foreman ensures strict safety compliance while coordinating and training crew members, reporting to project and operations managers to support smooth site execution.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment for utility installation and maintenance
- Supervise a small crew of 2-5 people on-site
- Manage safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
- Coordinate daily work activities and assign tasks to crew members
- Provide training and guidance to enhance crew performance
- Prepare and submit regular site reports to management
- Support work on day and night shifts according to project needs
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in utility operations
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Proficiency in heavy equipment operation
- Strong knowledge of utility systems
- Committed to safety compliance
- Team leadership and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and time management
- Ability to read blueprints and operate pipe lasers
