Key Responsibilities\n

• Assess and evaluate patients’ mental health status through detailed interviews and appropriate diagnostic tools, including the DSM-5, to formulate comprehensive and individualized treatment plans.

• Monitor and document patient progress regularly, providing adjustments to the treatment plan as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Prepare and maintain accurate treatment records, reports, and other clinical documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems, adhering to regulatory requirements and department policies.

• Develop collaborative treatment plans in conjunction with patients and their families, setting measurable goals that respect and incorporate the unique needs and cultural backgrounds of each individual.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions and support strategies tailored to enhance the mental wellbeing of your clients.

• Coordinate care by managing referrals to additional service providers and establishing effective communication with other healthcare professionals to create a cohesive treatment experience for patients.

• Provide mentorship and educational support to students, interns, and new team members, fostering an environment of continuous learning and clinical excellence.

• Engage in peer review and clinical collaboration to enhance team development, ensuring that all staff members receive the support they need to thrive in their roles.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population within a community health clinic setting, focusing on outpatient care for adults dealing with a variety of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your approach will embrace the principles of cultural competence and sensitivity, as our client base includes individuals from various backgrounds, including those underrepresented in traditional therapeutic settings.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution, accompanied by a current state license from the California Board of Social Work Licensure.

• Valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) designation as a minimum licensing requirement.

• Strong knowledge of clinical interventions and mental health treatment modalities, with an understanding of patient development across the human lifespan.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong therapeutic relationships with patients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience\n

• Between six months and one year of clinical experience in a behavioral health setting, preferably in outpatient mental health or community health.

• Experience with electronic health record systems and teletherapy practices is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) would be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.
