Business Development Representative

Business Development RepresentativeAs a Business Development Representative, you are responsible for generating new client business through prospecting, networking and following up on recommendations along with attending Trade Shows and Conferences. Also responsible for cultivating relationships with existing clients and growing profitable business within the agency. Relationships at various levels within the Agency organizations will be key to success. Must be comfortable interacting in both Business and Social settings.Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:Provide Best in Class Service to all levels of our Agent BaseDevelop customer accounts and build strong, long-lasting relationships for your assigned Agents.Produce professionally written proposals and communications for clientele and for internal use.Review Agent presented RFP's and assist in evaluating how we can best participate with the proposal.Collaborate with Underwriting/Claims counterparts.Participate in association committees and regularly attend industry events.Conduct Agent visits to both provide agents information and gather Industry knowledgeReview accounts monthly and prepare any needed corrective action plans.Implement actions as necessary to keep agents profitableOther duties as assignedTechnical Knowledge and Understanding:Excellent Social and Networking SkillsUrgency to Provide Best in Class ServiceThink outside the box mentalityOutstanding telephone, presentation, time management, and computer skills.Writing proficiency and creativityRobust interpersonal skillsSolid written and verbal communication skillsExperience:Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experiencePrior Insurance Industry knowledge and experienceSales personality with a customer focused mentalityPrevious experience with sales and business developmentAbility to build and maintain strategic relationships and engage with prospectStrong leadership skillsApplicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over work authorization sponsorship now or in the future for this position.At Core Specialty, you will receive a competitive salary and opportunities for professional development and advancement.
