Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments to identify the psychological needs of adult clients, utilizing standardized tools and methodologies.

• Provide individualized therapy sessions in an outpatient pain clinic setting, focusing on cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness strategies, and acceptance and commitment therapy.
\n
• Lead weekly psychoeducational classes designed to empower clients with knowledge and coping skills surrounding their pain management and rehabilitation.
\n
• Evaluate clinical progress of clients enrolled in our Functional Restoration Program (FRP), adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize recovery outcomes.
\n
• Adhere to the highest ethical and legal standards while documenting all client interactions and therapeutic interventions in our electronic medical record (EMR) system.
\n
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals within the clinic to ensure comprehensive care, making referrals when integrated therapeutic approaches are necessary.
\n
• Regularly review and align therapeutic interventions with established best practices in pain psychology.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with a diverse caseload of injured workers, many of whom experience complex issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and chronic physical pain. Understanding the multifaceted nature of these challenges is crucial, as each individual will require tailored interventions to both alleviate psychological distress and enhance their overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• An active California License in Clinical Social Work (LCSW).
\n
• At least two years of clinical experience, particularly with populations dealing with chronic pain and trauma.
\n
• Solid foundation in therapeutic methodologies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness-oriented interventions.

• Proficient in clinical assessment and creating effective treatment plans based on individual client needs.
\n
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective client interaction and documentation.

• The ability to build rapport with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams, promoting a collaborative approach to care.

• Sound judgment and decision-making skills in clinical contexts.

Compensation and Benefits\n
