Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough biopsychosocial assessments for students addressing their mental health, substance abuse, and medical needs, tailored to their age and cultural background.

• Provide individual and group counseling services for students and their families, including crisis intervention, treatment planning, and the creation of specialized therapeutic activities.

• Document mental health evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans electronically using our designated electronic health record (EHR) system to ensure compliance and tracking of client progress.

• Collaborate with educational staff and outside agencies to implement referral processes for additional community resources, including medication assistance programs and specialized treatments.

• Engage in quality improvement initiatives, partnering with other mental health professionals to develop metrics for data collection and assessment of program effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with school-aged children and adolescents, as well as their families, addressing a wide variety of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, and peer relationship challenges. Understanding the unique needs of this demographic is crucial as you implement strategies that are culturally responsive and inclusive.

Qualifications\n

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California, with all relevant certifications up-to-date.
