Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and screenings to understand their mental health needs and formulate suitable treatment plans.
• Deliver short-term individual counseling and crisis intervention to patients presenting with an array of mental health concerns, ensuring a compassionate and client-centered approach.
• Lead group therapy sessions and workshops focused on topics such as stress management, coping skills, and emotional regulation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical staff and social services, to facilitate an integrated approach to patient care.
• Engage in outreach initiatives aimed at increasing mental health awareness within the community and promote wellness through educational campaigns or events.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, using electronic health record systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will engage with a diverse array of patients, including adults facing acute and chronic mental health issues, anxiety disorders, depression, and interpersonal challenges. Your understanding of the unique dynamics and stressors experienced by hospital patients will play a vital role in delivering effective support and therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications

• Possession of an active state license as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), or LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist). Alternative credentials such as a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) are also eligible.
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• A demonstrable understanding of the mental health challenges faced by individuals in a hospital environment, with an emphasis on evidence-based practices.
• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills necessary for effective patient engagement and inter-professional collaboration.
• Proficient knowledge of appropriate therapeutic models and methodologies suitable for a rapid-paced, hospital counseling center environment.
• Strong organizational skills to manage a diverse caseload and prioritize workload effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a telehealth setting or virtual therapy practice.
• Prior experience working within a hospital or medical setting with a focus on mental health services.
• Familiarity with various therapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate therapeutic groups or workshops.

Compensation and Benefits
