Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental health status through interviews and screenings.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address specific issues such as anxiety, depression, or substance abuse.
• Provide ongoing therapy sessions—both individual and group—to clients, utilizing evidence-based approaches tailored to their needs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and treatment interventions in the EHR system.
• Regularly evaluate treatment efficacy and modify therapeutic strategies as necessary, ensuring clients have the tools and support they need to succeed.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare providers, including referrals to psychiatrists or specialists when needed.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions to enhance therapeutic skills and share best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our counselors work with a diverse clientele facing various challenges, including mental health disorders like anxiety, depression, PTSD, and eating disorders, as well as substance use issues. We value cultural competence and sensitivity, requiring counselors to engage with clients in ways that respect and incorporate their backgrounds and experiences.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
• A minimum of four years of relevant experience in mental health counseling or therapy.
• Deep understanding of various mental health disorders and proficiency in evidence-based treatment approaches.
• Experience delivering culturally responsive individual and group therapy.
• Strong crisis intervention skills with the ability to provide calm and effective support in high-stress situations.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills to foster therapeutic relationships with clients.
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and other computer applications necessary for documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a community health clinic or similar setting.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care methodologies and practices.
• Knowledge of community resources to assist clients in need of additional support services.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to the competitive salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
