We are hiring for Medical Laboratory Scientist positions at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK!

• Position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, 8-hr Night shifts, 40 hours per week.
• Position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, 8-hr Evening shifts, 40 hours per week.

Relocation Assistance available for eligible hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

• Per Diem, 0.01 FTE, Day Shift, Hours Per Week as needed

Provides accurate, timely, and cost-effective laboratory testing of patient samples to aid in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Provides technical expertise to Providence Alaska Medical Center and other institutions. Meets and exceeds functional criteria for Medical Laboratory Technician II.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Lab Science or education and training equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical or biological science with sufficient clinical laboratory experience on human specimens to meet Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) certification requirements through a nationally accrediting agency, e.g. American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
• Within 1 year of hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology or
• Within 1 year of hire: National Clinical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology or
• Within 1 year of hire: National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts or
• Within 1 year of hire: National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists or
• Within 1 year of hire: National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
