As a Paralegal, you'll support attorneys, assist current and prospective clients, organize discovery, prepare for trials, and help ensure the smooth operation of the firm's daily activities.What You'll Do As a Paralegal, you will be responsible for: Screening prospective clients and gathering initial information before referring them to attorneys Assisting current and new clients both over the phone and in person Drafting and filing legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail Answering phone calls using a multi-line phone system and providing professional customer service Organizing discovery materials and assisting with trial preparation Using Microsoft Office and Adobe to prepare, manage, and organize documents Maintaining organized case files, schedules, and important deadlines Performing other legal and administrative duties as assignedWhat You'll Bring The ideal candidate for this role will have: Prior paralegal experience required A 4-year university degree or significant, proven experience in a high-volume legal practice Prior receptionist experience required Knowledge of legal principles, practices, and procedures Ability to handle and respect confidential client information Exceptional oral and written communication skills Excellent customer service skills and a professional, approachable demeanor Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage files, schedules, and deadlines High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in legal documentation and processes Ability to learn new programs and systems quickly A strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environmentWhy Join Us in Eugene?
