Retention Specialist

Are you goal‑driven? Then the Retention Specialist position is for you! Job Description We are seeking a dynamic and team‑oriented individual to join our spirited team. As Retention Specialist, you will provide support and assistance to program clients in all areas related to gaining and/or retaining employment and career advancement. You will also focus on job retention follow‑up and support. Responsibilities Focus on one‑on‑one outreach and follow‑up to ensure job retention, including overseeing client activities and assisting with workshop schedules. Accurately complete required documentation for enrollment, including individualized assessment of work, family and personal development needs and opportunities. Build professional one‑on‑one working relationships with clients to assist in eliminating challenges that hinder obtaining and retaining employment. Provide referrals to appropriate community or social service agencies when needed. Encourage clients to participate in and follow through with planned activities as outlined in contract with funding agency, including creating solutions for client attendance problems. Maintain an organized database of clients and keep detailed documentation of all contacts with clients as specified by the contractor. Share information with appropriate staff and/or funding agencies. Provide consistent and comprehensive case management and follow‑up, ensuring that post‑placement contacts are made as required by the specific contract, including coordinating with client retention services and accommodating client work schedules. Assist in the preparation of project reports as needed. Help to ensure that positive outcomes and goals are met as required by contract. Other duties as available. Experience Requirements Ability to prioritize tasks and document visits and contacts. Demonstrated telephone, computer and written communication skills. Ability to maintain flexibility as needs of contract or contractor require. Sales or marketing experience is an asset. A working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel.
