Overview Memorial Hospital Belleville is an acute care hospital offering medical and surgical services plus critical and emergency care. It provides patients with a full complement of diagnostic and treatment services as well as heart and vascular care. Memorial is an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI and designated as an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital. It is an American College of Radiology designated Lung Cancer Screening Center and a Magnet-recognized organization for nursing excellence. Memorial Hospital Shiloh provides emergency care, labor & delivery, nursery, medical and surgical services plus critical care. One South is a 32-bed orthopedic/neurologic unit caring for adult medical and surgical patients, including post-operative care for hip, knee, spine, and shoulder replacements. Role Purpose The Unit Secretary performs clerical duties supporting the operations of the patient care team. Responsibilities Supports the clinical operations by providing customer service and clerical support. Transcribes physician orders with close attention to detail. Notifies the appropriate nurse when STAT orders are written or when coordinating tests and procedures; communicates new orders to the healthcare team as appropriate.
