Mid-Level Software Engineer

To contribute to the development of the Multimode Threat Engagement Simulation Platform, the full-time Mid-Level Software Engineer will build backend physics API endpoints in Julia and frontend components in React/TypeScript, while working in a hybrid environment and gaining expertise in scientific computing and defense mission engineering applications. Key responsibilities Implement and test Julia API endpoints for mission data operations and maintain the mission data serialization layer Build and maintain React/TypeScript components for the mission planning UI and integrate Cesium map features Write automated tests and assist with CI/CD pipeline maintenance while participating in code reviews and maintaining technical documentation Required qualifications Active Secret Clearance B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related STEM field 1-4 years of software development experience, including internships or relevant projects Proficiency in at least one strongly typed programming language (TypeScript, Python, Java, C++, Rust, or Julia) Familiarity with REST API design patterns and working knowledge of React or scientific computing environments
