Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering comprehensive clinical services by developing and implementing individualized, person-centered treatment plans.

• Continuously assessing treatment needs through regular evaluations and adapting strategies based on client progress.

• Collaborating with clients to create individualized service plans that focus on their unique goals and recovery paths.

• Facilitating skill-building activities to enhance coping, problem-solving, and effective communication skills among clients.

• Actively educating clients about community resources while serving as an advocate to connect them with essential services.

• Providing regular symptoms monitoring and management to ensure clients are progressing towards their therapeutic objectives.

• Maintaining confidentiality in all interactions and safeguarding client information in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Offering closure and aftercare planning for clients transitioning away from higher-intensity therapeutic supports.

• Understanding and addressing family developmental issues that may affect client's recovery and community integration.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with adults aged 18 and older who are facing various mental health challenges that impede their ability to maintain stability within the community. These individuals may experience issues such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral disorders. Your expertise and dedicated approach will be vital in helping these clients foster independence and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• Current licensure in Arizona, including one of the following: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Psychologist (PsyD).

• Capability to practice independently without supervision and no disciplinary actions against the license.
\n
• A track record of providing direct clinical services with exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
\n
• Proficiency in using digital tools and maintaining a reliable internet connection for effective remote service delivery.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, the following experiences are preferred:

Compensation and Benefits\n

Step Up on Second values its team members and offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year.
