Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 4x12-hour shifts | 13- or 26-week contract options | 36- or 48-hour weekly options available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry units, which may include Neuroscience, Ortho, Oncology, Trauma, Cardiac, PCU, Observation, Stepdown, or Transplant units depending on assignment
• Administer and manage IV drips; drip competency is required on all floors
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including CNAs, care techs, transport teams, paramedics, and LPNs where assigned
• Float within scope to meet facility staffing needs, including potential assignment to a sister campus approximately 16 minutes from the main campus
• Fulfill weekend and holiday scheduling requirements: expected 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period (Friday night and Saturday night for night shift); expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)

Required Qualifications

• Active or pending Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska; if license is not in hand at time of submission, start date will be scheduled approximately six weeks out
• BLS certification required ; ACLS strongly preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting required; experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center preferred for first-time travelers
• Proficiency with EPIC charting required
• Demonstrated drip administration competency required
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification
• Experience in a Level I Academic Medical Center environment
• Background in specialty areas such as Neuroscience, Oncology, Trauma, Cardiac, or Transplant nursing
• Familiarity with high-acuity, complex patient populations
