We are proactively seeking experienced Automotive Payroll Coordinator candidates for our Corporate Office Location in North Bergen, NJ .

Automotive Payroll Coordinator Responsibilities:

The Automotive Payroll Coordinator compiles accurate payroll data to maintain payroll records.

· Compiles payroll data such as hours worked, salaried, commission and any deductions to be withheld from time sheets and other records in order to compensate employees accurately

· Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll

· Records changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, benefit coverage, and loan payments for each employee to update master payroll records

· Records data concerning transfer of employees between departments and dealerships

· Responsible for preparing periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions

· Prepares and issues paychecks

· Maintains accurate employee payroll files

· Maintains accurate I9 binder for active employees

· Responsible for hiring/terminating employees immediately in the system. Payroll department prompts benefit and cobra correspondences

· Creates weekly management reporting

· Performs filing and upkeep of employee payroll records.

· Generates computer report of payroll activities for the management.

· Performs other duties as assigned by Payroll Manager

Payroll Coordinator Qualifications

· Experience with ADP Workforce Now Payroll System preferred

· Individuals employed in this position must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions and management

· Individuals employed in this position must demonstrate organizational and time management skills

· Individuals employed in this position must demonstrate sufficient computer literacy

· Individual employed in this position must possess a positive attitude and commitment to adhere to and administer company policies, procedures and standards

Experience:

· Payroll: 2 years (Preferred)

• Automotive: 1 year (Preferred)
