About This Role The Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse who provides safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients and significant others. Highlights Location: New York, NY Facility: Mount Sinai Hospital Department/Unit: GP 8 East CC - MSH Schedule: Full-Time, Day shift Pay: $64.8517/hour What You'll Do Deliver patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care. Assess and evaluate patient care needs and apply critical thinking skills in patient care management. Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in the delivery of nursing care. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care. Prioritize all aspects of patient care including teaching, rounding, coaching, and planning after hospital care. Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care, transition of care, promotion of health, and prevention of disease. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family, and all members of the Interdisciplinary Patient Care Team. Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing. Perform charge nurse duties as assigned. Document in an accurate and thorough manner in compliance with hospital, regulatory, and legal requirements. Requirements Education: Graduation from an accredited Nursing program. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable if matriculated in a BSN Program. Experience: Relevant clinical competence in area of nursing practice assigned; new graduates must possess current knowledge of the nursing process. Licenses & Certifications: Current RN License in New York State. BLS certification required. ACLS certification preferred. PALS certification preferred. NRP certification preferred.
